I do not uphold Mr E’s complaint and no further action is required by Standard Life.
Complaint summary
Mr E has complained that Standard Life did not carry out sufficient due diligence checks when transferring his benefits in the SL Plan to the [Mr E] Creative Ltd Retirement Benefits Scheme (the DMC Scheme), a Small Self Administered Scheme (SSAS).
Mr E says that he has been unable to access his benefits in the DMC Scheme. He would like to be put back in the position he would have been had the transfer not taken place.
