Outcome

I do not uphold Mr N’s complaint and no further action is required by Aon and the Trustees.

My reasons for reaching this decision are explained in more detail below.

Complaint summary

Mr N, as the lead applicant with two other applicants associated with this case, has complained that the Trustees and Aon have not calculated the final pensionable salary correctly, resulting in a lower than expected pension. Mr N says that the Trustees have not treated him and the other applicants, as protected persons under the Electricity Act of 1988 and have not applied the pensionable salary dynamisation.
