Mr H’s complaint against Barclays is partly upheld, but there is a part of the complaint I do not agree with.  To put matters right (for the part that is upheld) Barclays should pay £1,000 to Mr H.

My reasons for reaching this decision are explained below.

Complaint summary

Mr H’s complaint against Barclays is that it incorrectly issued a cheque to him (from the Scheme) in his and his wife’s name, instead of in the Scheme’s name.  Mr H says that he did not receive the replacement in time to invest the funds as he planned and he has suffered financial loss.
