Civil Service Injury Benefit Scheme (PO-27414)
The Cabinet Office
Ombudsman’s Determination
Outcome
I do not uphold Mr R’s complaint and no further action is required by MyCSP or the Cabinet Office
Complaint summary
Mr R has complained that his permanent injury benefit (PIB) has not been calculated correctly and he should be awarded the highest level of benefit. He also believes that the Scheme Medical Adviser (SMA) should have considered medical evidence that was available at the time he left employment in 2013 and not more recent evidence at the time he applied for PIB in 2016.
