Dominic Harris appointed as new Pensions Ombudsman

Today, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), has confirmed the appointment of Dominic Harris as Pensions Ombudsman and Pension Protection Fund Ombudsman.

Anthony Arter’s tenure has been further extended to 15 January 2023 to ensure a smooth handover when Dominic will formally take up the post. 

Anthony Arter, current Pensions Ombudsman said:

“I warmly congratulate Dominic on his appointment as the sixth Pensions Ombudsman and wish him every success in his new role.  
There are plenty of challenges on the horizon, but he has an excellent team at The Pensions Ombudsman (TPO) and I look forward to seeing the service continue to develop under his leadership.” 

Caroline Rookes, Chair of TPO said:

“I would like to congratulate Dominic on his appointment. TPO has undergone a remarkable transformation under Anthony’s leadership and is in a fantastic position to face the challenges ahead. 
Dominic brings a wealth of pensions knowledge and experience. The Corporate Board and I look forward to working with him to achieve TPO’s strategic goals.”
