Ombudsman appointment welcomed
The Minister for Pensions, Steve Webb, has confirmed the appointment of Anthony Arter as Pensions Ombudsman and Pension Protection Fund Ombudsman.
Tony King said:
I am delighted that Anthony has been appointed. I will miss the job enormously, but it is great news that someone of such experience and standing is picking up the reins. He will be taking over at a fascinating time and I have no doubt that the Pensions Ombudsman Service will be in very safe hands.
Anthony will be formally taking up the post after Tony stands down on 22 May. Before then there will be a handover period, to give as much continuity as possible.

As a result, Mr D claimed he had lost valuable retirement benefits.
